Overview
I am a PhD student in Computer Science.
My area of research is in Bayesian approaches to robust optimisation. Specifically, I focus on developing novel acquisition functions to optimise designs that rely on stable regions of good performance (rather than a single point of optimal performance) in expensive black-box functions.
My first supervisor is Richard Everson, and my second supervisor is Jonathan Fieldsend.
Teaching
I am a postgraduate teaching assistant for the modules ECM1413 Computers and the Internet and ECM1400 Programming. Previously, I have been an assistant for the modules ECM1410 Object-oriented Programming and ECM3420 Learning from Data.
Code
The code for projects that I am working on will be made available on my GitHub page, which can be accessed at https://github.com/ndsanders.
