Professor Andrew Howes

I am a computer scientist interested in computational models of the mind and in how Artificial Intelligence can be designed to interact with people. 

I have previously worked in the Dept of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham, Dept of Psychology University of Michigan, Department of Information and Communications Engineering, Aalto University, Manchester Business School,  School of Psychology, Cardiff University, MRC Applied Psychology Unit, Cambridge, Dept of Psychology, Carnegie Mellon University and NASA Ames Research Centre. 

My work has been funded by ONR, ARL, AFRL, EPSRC, EU, NASA, Marshall M. Weinberg and FCAI.
