Dr Saif Alzubi

I am a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Exeter, where I contribute to teaching, research supervision, and departmental leadership as Admissions Officer and as a member of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. My research focuses on the application of machine learning to cybersecurity, with particular interests in intrusion detection, anomaly detection, and explainable AI.

Before joining Exeter, I completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Reading and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Data Science at Exeter, applying machine learning to biomedical challenges. I also bring over seven years of industry experience as an information systems developer and senior database programmer.
