Dr Paul Kent

My PhD was in Bayesian Optimization for Quality-Diversity Search. My interests are broad but encompass optimisation under uncertainty, real world applications for ML and AI and applications in Human Education.

My current role is as a Research Fellow with the Bluebird project, working to develop approaches to AI for Air Traffic Controlling. My contributions include supporting the development of an optimisation based agent, leading development of a forward planning decision making agent, and developing robust metrics for safety critical challenges.
