Dr John Panneerselvam

Dr John Panneerselvam is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Datacentres within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Exeter. John, an Early Career Researcher, predominantly focuses on addressing the energy issues of datacentres through Artificial Intelligence approaches. Prior to the current position, John has served as a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Leicester until September 2024. John received his PhD in Computing from the University of Derby in 2018 and an MSc in advanced computer networks in 2013. He is an active member of IEEE and British Computer Society, and a HEA fellow.
John holds more than 80 peer reviewed publications in reputable journals and conferences in the areas of cloud computing, peer-to-peer computing, edge/fog computing, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics and interdisciplinary AI applications. He has received three best paper awards from 4th IEEE DSCI 2021, 10th IEEE BDCloud 2020 and 4th IEEE DCC 2018 conferences. John's research has received funding from European Space Agency, UKRI, EPSRC, Royal Society, Innovate UK and Industry.
